The Movers Cape Town – Home Removal & Delivery Services

1. Introduction

Welcome to The Movers Cape Town. By booking our services or visiting our website, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all clients and service users.


2. Our Services

The Movers Cape Town offers:

Small home and office removals

Furniture and appliance collection/delivery

Student and single-room moves

Garden refuse and rubble removal

Local item transport (Facebook Marketplace, retail, etc.)

We reserve the right to refuse transport of any items deemed hazardous, illegal, or inappropriate for our vehicle or team.


3. Bookings and Scheduling

Bookings are subject to vehicle and staff availability.

We recommend booking at least 24–48 hours in advance.

Same-day bookings may be available but are not guaranteed.

Confirmed bookings will include estimated time of arrival, location, and agreed price.


4. Pricing and Payment

Pricing is based on load size, distance, labor involved, and number of trips.

Additional charges may apply for delays, extra loading/unloading time, waiting periods, stairs, or bulky/heavy items.

Quotes are estimates unless otherwise stated as a fixed price.

Payment is due on the day of service via EFT, cash, or approved mobile payment methods.


5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Please notify us at least 12 hours before your scheduled time if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations may incur a call-out or cancellation fee.

If we arrive on site and are unable to complete the service due to lack of access or unpreparedness, a fee may still be charged.


6. Customer Responsibilities

Ensure that parking and access points are clear and legal for loading/unloading.

Inform us in advance of any stairs, security gates, fragile items, or special instructions.

All items must be packed and ready unless otherwise agreed.

The customer must be present or have a representative on site unless otherwise arranged.


7. Liability and Damages

Our team takes care to handle all goods professionally.

However, we are not liable for:

Pre-existing damage

Poorly packed or unsecured items

Damage due to weather, road conditions, or access limitations

We do not offer in-transit insurance by default. Customers are encouraged to arrange their own coverage for high-value items.


8. Limitations of Service

We do not:

Transport illegal, hazardous, flammable, or perishable goods

Provide full packing/unpacking services (unless pre-arranged)

Offer storage solutions


9. Delays and Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

Traffic or road closures

Weather conditions

Accidents or vehicle breakdowns

Other events beyond our control

We will always communicate delays and aim to complete the service as soon as possible.


10. Photos and Media

With your consent, we may request to take photos of completed moves for social media or marketing. You may decline without affecting service.


11. Changes to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
